Wed 29th May 24, Reordered my farthers blood pressure medication whilst inside the Pegswood surgery over 4 weeks ago. The lady on reception was very kind and helpful, i handed in his blood pressure charts, and asked if i would still need to reorder untill they check and adapt his prescription amount, he had 8 days left of medication, she agreed and said she will send a message over to reorder. However over a total of 4 weeks and a phone call to order medical supplys and questions relating to why no one is getting in contact or issuing further more medication , said it would be available on Friday 24th may 24 at 4pm at the chemist at Pegswood, no medication was available and again today dated 29 May 24, still nothing, the lady at thr drs reception says it will be ready today at 5pm. Its an endless loop of excuses with this company, previous problems of reception shouting, complaints to the company to have someone blaim the government for cutting costs, that there short on staff. So what is it, is it a government problem important medication is being neglected in the poor loop. Absolutely terrible.

I can't go in to the practice and book appointments I have to use the online app and wait as I have at the moment for four days without speaking or having any contact from them but if I miss the call I get a strike against me, the app is particularly bad for people doing shift work who can't answer Thier phone I want to go back to seeing doctors again the good old way

On average takes an hour to get through to book an appointment, told you need to speak with a doctor about medication etc urgently and when you get through to book an appointment are told to ring back tomorrow. When ringing back at 0830 on hold for an hour again and no appointments to even speak with a doctor over the phone (urgently) for at least 5 days.

If you're ringing for an appointment be prepared to wait for an hour at least. I will be changing doctors very soon for me and my family because service from wellway is horrendous and potentially dangerous

Not a great impression of a surgery I’ll be registering with. My 4 year old had a high temperature and suspected tonsillitis and when I rang to get an emergency appointment they said we couldn’t get one. We are moving into the area and literately have the forms filled out but said he would get an appointment until they are processed. So rang around others that all said the same. Baffles me really as apparently you can get a temporary registrations for emergencies like this one and two we literally had the forms to register. Told to ring 111, with the services so stretched such a disappointment that we were told to go to them with something they could have solved. Hope once we are registered it’s a better experience.

My wife left work early to attend an appointment at Pegswood after 1st appointment was cancelled at Ashington and this was the soonest available. She travelled from Longbenton to Pegswood 18.5 mile only to find out her appointment was cancelled again. The reception said they called and left a message (1 1/2hrs before appointment) but no call was received or message. Poor service by Valens Medical yet again.

I have been a patient at Wellway since 2006 and I cannot fault the care my late husband and myself receive. I am a cancer patient and have always been given the best of care from Doctors Nurses Pharmacy and reception staff. It is not their fault if government make cuts which in turn effects funding for GP surgeries and staffing levels. There are more patients on their books as more and more houses are being built in our area. I have been in the surgery when some people have been very verbally abusive to reception staff . This is not acceptable. Staff should be able to go to work without having to deal with abusive patients. The staff at Wellway only have one aim and that is to serve their patients with dignity , understanding and care. Please be patient when needing to wait for phones to be answered they are doing their best.

the app anima app is glitchy and won't allow me to select specific surgery requested. I need an appointment but can not get through yet again
