We have had 3 of their units fail in different vehicles after only a few thousand miles of use. They took the parts back and their evaluation was that the engines were sludgy and caused the part to fail. I'm not really sure how they determined the engine was sludgy with only the timing components. I kept the engines during the investigation so I could prove otherwise but they didn't care and have no appeal process. The last failure cost me 5000 out of pocket to get the customers vehicle back on the road because when the sprocket failed the chain ground into the timing cover and filled the oil with metal and ruined the bearings and when the timing got off the valves hit the pistons and broke the camshaft caps. There are two identical sprockets but only 1 failed? I would think if the engine sludging was the problem they both would have failed. I attached pictures of the failed part and one of the top of the cylinder head where you can see the broken cam caps and NO sludge. I will be going to OE or another source for timing components.

we bought a timing set from a major supplier and the guide broke after 800 mile was sent back only to be told it was not defective when it was plain as day you could see where it was cracked at casting spot blamed on something not relevant to the guide out 1300 dollars after labor and head work be leary of where your parts are coming from ask questions so you dont get screwed like i did.

I installed a timing chain set in a 2011 Dodge Ram with a 5.7 and 30 days later the chain broke at the link and bent valves and damage the pistons close to the rings, a used motor was 2500.00 and about 900.00 labor to put it in, I sent the chain in for a warranty and they said we installed it wrong and would not send the damage chain back to me I had a company that was going to X-ray the metal and tell me why it failed so there is no warranty on there Products I covered the cost of everything for my customer so my company wouldn’t get reviews like S,A gear does
